Mang Inasal and the Department of Tourism (DOT) have announced their collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement, to promote their “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines” campaign, inspiring locals and tourists to explore the country’s unique flavors.
“For more than 20 years, Mang Inasal has seen how our food creates lasting connections between tourists and their experiences in the Philippines,” said Mang Inasal president Mike V. Castro. “This partnership with DOT excites us because it allows us to turn every meal into a reason for tourists to keep coming back. We look forward to making their trips more fun, memorable, and flavorful through Mang Inasal.”
The partnership was officially launched at the DOT office in Makati City, with Mang Inasal executives and key representatives from the DOT, led by Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, in attendance.
“As DOT elevates the global competitiveness of Philippine tourism, we have remained true to who we are,” said Secretary Frasco. “And what better partner for the DOT to have than a homegrown brand that has brought much pride to our countrymen for all that the brand has managed to accomplish these many years, and for the many stomachs that have been satisfied, hearts that have been made happy, and families that have come together at the table, enjoying a meal of Mang Inasal.”
As part of the “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines” campaign, regional festivals will be highlighted to showcase gastronomy tourism to both locals and tourists. More exciting projects are set to be revealed in 2025 through the official online channels of Mang Inasal and the DOT.

Last December 1, MIIS held their Kids Can! #4GreenPH Eco-Bazaar and Thrift Market. More than a thousand attendees shopped and watched the live performances of the students, taking home countless goodies with them. The Kids Can! program champions youth entrepreneurship and advocates for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on “Leadership for a Sustainable Future”.
Students from all grade levels of Multiple Intelligence International School set up 26 exciting booths that offered a variety of unique products. Different booths supported different advocacies, ranging from animal welfare to gender equality. Shoppers delighted in one-of-a-kind items like bags and clothing made from woven fabric in support of indigenous peoples. There were also essential oils, different snacks and sweets, pre-loved clothing, and so much more. Visitors and attendees took the chance to shop for a cause by buying Christmas gifts and all sorts of sustainable and innovative products.
One of the well-patronized booths at the Kids Can! Eco-Bazaar was the Bayong-All-You-Can. Shoppers would purchase a small or large bayong that was crafted by women weavers, and they could fill it up with as much fresh produce, fruits, and vegetables that were directly sourced from farmers in Region 2.
There was much delight in the performances too, as the day was filled with sustainability talks and class performances that entertained the shoppers. Different choreographies and talents were on full display, giving a chance to highlight the students and the Sustainable Development Goals their class advocated for.
The award-winning and student-led Kids Can Bazaar returned this 2024 to Ayala Malls U.P. Town Center to an overwhelming success for those participating and shopping. The children were very much engaged and exhilarated to try their hand at entrepreneurialism. Friends, shoppers, and family were also full of glee to see the hands-on work of the students as they managed the finances and marketed the products of their booths. Fueled by purpose and a goal, the MIIS Kids Can Program continues to make leaps forward in pioneering the next generation of innovators and sustainable leaders.

“Il dolce far niente” (theSweet Art of Doing Nothing ) is how I would describe our afternoon food adventure at a mano Gateway mall 2 several days ago 🥰🇮🇹🥂🍕🍝
Nothing like delicious & gorgeous made-from-scratch pizza & pasta done “a mano” or by hand to evoke feelings of “la dolce vita” ♥️
Love cheese? Turophiles will go gaga over these new cheesy selections 🥰
🍕PIZZA CON RASPADURA 700 Visualize ribbons of Grana Padano Cheese freshly shaved table side . Then imagine adorning your hot-off-the-Forni Valoriani-oven tomato pizza generously with it. Don’t forget to add a touch of extra virgin olive oil or chili oil for that extra kick… so good!
🥗INSALATE DI POLLO CON RASPADURA E ACETO BALSAMICO 550 Now do the same with your salad. Then up the ante by gently pouring a thin thread of EVOO & balsamic vinegar… ambrosia!
🍝 CARAMELLE DI VALENTINA 720 Can’t have enough of cheese. Enjoy your butternut squash filled caramelle pasta with gratings on top♥️
Washed it all down with a tall cold glass of their robust and sweet Shakerato coffee Bianca. Refreshing!
What are you waiting for? Slow down, relax and watch life go by at a mano.
See you there!🥰
Visit a mano at Gateway Mall 2, Power Plant Mall or One Bonifacio in BGC

There is haute cuisine and then there is Haute Croissanterie 🥐🥰
Luckily no need to fly to Paris to enjoy that delightful crescent-shaped pastry France is known for. Although I wouldn’t mind learning the language. So sexy! Lol
It was an Haute Croissanterie kind of brunch indeed earlier at Le Bar @sofitelmanila ♥️
with Sofitel Executive Pastry Chef Romain Jeunet and Eric Norbert , Sofitel Director of Food & Beverage
I love that Executive Pastry Chef Romain Jeunet incorporated Filipino ingredients in his creation like Ube macapuno & Davao pomelo. Absolutely a must-try 🥰
Like any other masterpiece, it all begins with the ingredients. With croissant , butter is the key . Chef Romain proudly shared that their butter came from Normandy in France, no less! Nothing like French butter to make the croissant flaky, fragrant and scrumptious
This exciting collab between Japanese External Trade Organization ( JETRO) and our local Dough & Grocer, made this Japanophile’s heart skip a beat in anticipation.
Who wouldn’t want to experience the joy of indulging in fresh seafood from the famous Tsukiji Market in Tokyo sans the requisite boarding pass.
The last time the handsome hubby and I were in Tsukiji was a few years ago. I remember waking up in the ungodly hour of 3 am to queue for Sushi Dai’s Omakase of freshly harvested bounty from the sea . Sushi Dai is a notable chef dubbed “the poor man’s Jiro” while Jiro is the amazing chef from the famous documentary “ Jiro dreams of Sushi”
It was a tantalizing journey indeed as our eyes and palates enjoyed each mouthful of the freshest uni & assorted sashimi prepared by a Japanese Chef no less at last night’s dinner at Dough & Grocer at Estancia Mall.

The Big Reveal
Secret Recipe just landed on our shores! Had the privilege of being there at its grand launch at One Ayala Mall last Friday March 1.
It is The Bistro Group’s 1st ever restaurant concept that offers Asian-Western cuisine and a wide array of mouth watering cakes.
We had first dibs on their beef rendang (delicious!), laksa, chicken chops, pad Thai , amazing cakes and their refreshing hand crafted beverages
Ambiance
Can I just touch briefly on their interiors? Those pinkish red petals adorning the ceiling were quite eye catching evoking a whimsical-romantic-garden vibe
Taking inspiration from original Malaysian stores but with a dainty-sh feel, the interiors are modern contemporary.
Can not wait to return to explore their menu and discover new favorites with the family!
